Mummy From The Heart: Leapster bundle Explorer - perfect for on the go!

I must say that I feel very grateful to LeapFrog at this time, they have kindly sent us a Leapster bundle Explorer console to test and my twinnies are loving it.  I had to remind DD is for girls and his mittens.  While the Leapster bundle Explorer is designed for children aged 4-9 years DD has its own toys that girls are not allowed, shows so just!

We have a LeapPad already and the girls really like that what I have to say that I was wondering if the console explore could hold interest, but in fact Miss E in particular does not put.  I can honestly say that his DS was not picked up again in the last three weeks since we received this.

What is an Explorer Leapster bundle?
The console itself is a great size for small hands, heavy step, it is easy to understand and use. The screen is in color and superb quality, I pleased to see that the pen is connected to the console, otherwise I fear he could be lost fairly quickly.  I had a concern that the console can use up to the life of the battery really quickly, but I was so happy, us it has now 3 weeks and do not have to change the batteries yet, despite loads of use and a couple of trips car long.  It is much more economic than the LeapPad battery.

The console has a 59.99 RRP £ but you can take a new on Amazon for as little as £ 41.69 and I think that is the superb value. They are available in green or pink to the tastes of your child, and they need 4 x AA batteries, which are not provided.

What games?
Educational LeapFrog games are so hire they make children want to learn and play.  Miss e is pleased to sit down and make a few drawing on its console but Miss M really committed with the games, especially the Tangled who received us, she likes this and which is super, is that it really helps his Phonics, spelling and reading.  I have seen such improvement in the last week or two when we read his school books and I am satisfied that helped the Explorer Leapster bundle.  I need just to help Miss E engage more that way as she hates the traditional reading, making it so fun with it now seems the way to go.

It is also fantastic as for game cartridges and downloads can be used throughout the range.  I was happier when I have connected the Explorer to my laptop for the first time to find that he himself added automatically on my LeapFrog account and I have put our previously downloaded games on this console too - result!

Details of games cartridge for about £ 17.99 each and the map of download app £ 9.98 for 2 applet downloads, according to the choice of your child of app you might get one or two of the games, e-books or videos.

Why is - this good for the road?
I don't know buy about my children are not great fans of long car trips.  In early April, we have travelled for 5 hours in the car and the boy, want that we had then the Explorer Console.  We have a few travel time since having the console and must be the timer of eggs for the girls know when swap as they are so engaged in their game that it is the only way that we can stop the arguments...

The games are intuitive and you can set the level of learning on the console, this means that girls are just able to turn on their console and the game, not worrying to ask MOM or their older brother to help.  This independence has made on the game of go and ring lean much easier and certainly more stress free for dh and me.

As mentioned above this is really economic battery too and you do not have to try to worry after an hour of recharge.

I couldn't even looking at me, she was too absorbed!

How do I know what they learn?
There are parental peace of mind with the LeapFrog range as you can see that your child learning journey connecting the console to your laptop or PC. The console is so easy to connect, it really is plug and play, you simply download the software of connection and you are ready to go.  Then in the same place you can download your games when you first connect and buy more download at a later date if you wish. Downloads are also fun and all have an element of learning, we have the bugs of sugar which is a fun way to teach your child the importance of dental hygiene and the train of jewellery which is ideal to develop problem-solving skills.

You can see if your child is to engage with the system at the level of the age appropriate and then of course you can change the settings if you need to challenge their more and there are additional sheets that you can print off to work in conjunction with the games.

I would recommend the LeapFrog Explorer?
100% Yes.  I'm so pleased of the way twins have engaged with it and they are not yet 5 years yet.  It is good that they will still get an other entertainment of the years a few it yet.

My daughters wanted to play on it a little too much!  Therefore, as parents, as we need to monitor and limit their screen time.I have seriously been difficulty think all negative, I assumed that the initial expense can be a little much for some, but to be honest, when you can choose one for about £ 40, I think that il represents excellent value for money.Warning: We have sent this console and 3 games for the purposes of this analysis. I have not ordered that il be write and I stay honest.
